Managing for Workplace Readiness

A leadership and management capability gap has been identified by AMGC as a sector priority.

Working with managers and manufacturing workers, this Project will investigate the implementation of collaborative robots from an organisational change perspective and examine how factors such as leadership, communication, and worker resistance/acceptance, can influence the success or otherwise of collaborative robot adoption.

For organisations considering the implementation of collaborative robotics, the findings aim to provide a framework to assess the readiness of the workplace and strategies to facilitate effective change.

Skills and experience

To be considered for this project, you must have recently completed a degree (first class honours) or Masters of Philosophy in human resource management, employee relations, change management, sociology of work, or a related field, with a particular interest in the impact of technology on work, workers or workplaces. Ideally, you will have had experience undertaking case studies within organizational settings and have applied qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
