After Katherine completed her Bachelor of Arts in Leisure Management, the first degree offered in event management, she went straight into working as a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) and developed and managed all styles of events ranging from intimate 10 seated dinners with high profile government officials and dignitaries, through to international conferences with 2000 plus attendees.
Her role in identifying suitable technology streams relevant to the Asia Pacific market for the APEC Technomart (international technology conference) included the organisation of nine venues with individual technology conference programs and exhibitions was a highlight.
