In this talk, Dr Victor Hernandez Moreno will discuss how Learning from Demonstration (LfD) is revolutionising robot programming by making it more intuitive and accessible. Rather than relying on traditional coding methods, LfD allows robots to learn tasks through direct observation and imitation of human actions, enabling non-experts to program robots without extensive technical knowledge. Dr Hernandez Moreno will explore key techniques behind LfD, current obstacles and opportunities to transition from research to manufacturing practice and share examples from his work.
