Feasibility and patient experience with a haptically-enabled robot for teleoperated echocardiography

Provision of equitable access to echocardiography is especially problematic in jurisdictions with large rural and remote areas. This access problem is no longer a problem of size or cost of echocardiographic equipment (both of which have decreased in recent years), but rather is due to limited access to trained personnel.
