Dr Tom Williamson leads the robotics pillar at the Stryker R&D Lab, focusing on the development and translation of new robotic technology in collaboration with university and hospital partners. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the research and development of medical devices, with a focus on surgical robotics. Tom holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering from Swinburne University, Melbourne, and MSc and PhD from the University of Bern, Switzerland. He subsequently completed post-doctoral research at Monash and RMIT University, before joining Stryker in 2022.
