WHEN: 29 May
WHERE: Zoom
Join Dr Valeria Macalupú, Postdoctoral Research Fellow from the Centre’s ‘Human Robot Interaction’ research program, for a thought-provoking seminar on ‘Design Methods for HRI: Practical Tools for Human-Centred Robotics’.
In this session, Dr Macalupu challenges the notion that design follows development, demonstrating how design can instead take a strategic lead role in shaping human-robot interaction. She’ll introduce four practical design methods that have been successfully applied in real-world HRI projects across aged care and healthcare settings.
These methods help teams:
* Navigate complex environments
* Understand user needs
* Inform technical decisions early in development
Each method will be illustrated through case studies, with attendees receiving practical resources including a project structuring template designed to support future HRI initiatives.
