Thomas is PhD Candidate in the fields of Human-Robot Interaction and Human-Centered Design at Queensland University of Technology. With a background in Industrial Design, and interactive visual design and industry experience as a prototyping technical at QUT’s advanced fabrication lab. Thomas tutors creative industry units that teach higher level prototyping skills and research practices for applying emerging technologies within design industry. His PhD is focused on working with end-users to redesign the nature of industrial welding practices to improve the welding experience through human-centered design approach of industrial collaborative robotics.
