Ruba Al-zqebah

Ruba Al-zqebah is an Associate PhD researcher of the Centre.
Eng. Ruba Al-zqebah is a PhD candidate at University of Technology Sydney in the School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and is also a member of the UTS Advanced Manufacturing Centre. Her research interest is in improving the productivity of the dynamic production systems through using Discrete Event Simulation (DES) and Heuristic Optimization Algorithms. She has been involved in several projects in this field including:
- Australian Wool Innovation: Automated wool handling project
- Productivity improvement of Additive manufacturing system at UTS ProtoSpace.
Other interests are lean manufacturing, production planning, Problem solving and Quality management.
Ruba Al-zqebah holds a M.S. and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). Previously, Ruba worked for two years as a teacher assistance in the Department of Industrial Engineering at JUST and then as a lecturer at UTS.
Ruba is supervised by Dr Lee Clemon from UTS and is currently working with B & R Enclosures.
