Dr. Katia Bourahmoune is a Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney and a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tsukuba, Japan and is completing a PhD in Robotics at the University of Technology Sydney. Her research focuses on AI-powered cyber-physical systems, human skill modelling and Human-Robot Interaction for physical skill transfer.
She is Co-Founder and AI Lead of Lifeform AI, where she is developing the next generation of human skill modelling, through partnerships and collaborations with global leaders such as Google, Mitsui Fudosan, Fujitsu and Tokyo Dome. She is also involved in advancing Australia’s AI strategy for the 2032 Paralympics, with a focus on high-performance enhancement for para-athletes.
